Last weekend, April 28th-30th, my sister and I was supposed to go Bohol for some R ‘n R. On the first day, though, the trip took it’s first wrong turn when all boats going to Tagbilaran City from Cebu before 4:30 pm were all full, and it was only 10:00 am. Refusing to be deterred by such events, we took to the Queen City of the South and decided to make the most out of the 5-ish hours we had. Since all we wanted was to take pictures anyway, we hopped into a cab straight to the Sto. Nino Church, home to the famous Magellan’s Cross, in Osmena Boulevard and did just that.
With our huge bags and everything, we walked a bit farther to go to Plaza Independencia and took a couple more pictures there. The sun was already waving authoritatively by then, but we decided to stay under it a little more for a tour inside Fort San Pedro, and even went straight to what is known is Malacanang sa Sugbu.
Good thing I was with my sister, because knowing myself, I would’ve wasted time getting more and more stressed because of the delay. Instead, I learned to be a little more flexible and had fun along the way. All in all, I’d say it was time well spent. A happy accident.
